We need to cut down on Oil Consumption. One way is to stop using Oil and Gas mowers. Use human powered mowers, or Electric which can be supplied by Alternative means (Wind, Solar, Hydro, etc…). Tractor mowers with a Diesil engine need to be run more on Vegetable Oil (Bio-Diesil).
Switch to fuels that can be produced with Alternative energy, from the natural source.
Build the alternative systems into the mainstream by mass marketing, and they will consume.

CD, yeah we like grass for picnics but we let clovers and dandelions grow organically with the grass. Also by expanding gardens much of the mowing can be reduced to pathways, or replaced with perennials that only need trimming once a year.
very cool, i hate mowing because it burns gas, and reduces green that provides oxygen. i should landscape more myself. peace
